Description

The Visitor Services Branch of the Saskatchewan Legislative Assembly is seeking energetic, highly motivated individual to work as a Senior Information Officer, Bilingual (English/French) for the period of March 2020 to September 2, 2020.

The Senior Information Officer is responsible for the delivery of comprehensive factual and informative tours of the Saskatchewan Legislative Building in both English and French, with emphasis on its history, architecture, relevance and place within Saskatchewan and Canada in such a way as to make it meaningful and accessible to a variety of audiences.  Information officers also perform a variety of general office duties, respond to general inquiries, assist with official ceremonies at the Legislative Building and participate in programs and projects initiated through the Visitor Services Branch.

Applicants must have a Grade 12 diploma, supplemented by knowledge of Saskatchewan history and parliamentary process, training or experience in public speaking, and proficiency in written and oral language skills in both English and French.  Information officers must demonstrate professionalism through sound judgment, adaptability, discretion and flexibility. They must also be enthusiastic, possess strong interpersonal skills and work well independently or as part of a team.  This position offers full-time hours from March 2020 to September 2, 2020.  Selected candidates must be available for an in-person interview.
