Kanuka Thuringer LLP is currently accepting applications for full time legal administrative assistants in the practice areas of Family Law and Litigation
The successful candidates will present in a professional manner and be extremely attentive to detail, adaptable, and motivated. Candidates will also possess strong organizational skills and have solid computer skills along with an excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written. Spelling, grammar and proofreading skills are core skills in these areas of legal work. A formal education in general office administration or related fields is beneficial but legal experience is not a prerequisite. In addition, applicants must have demonstrable skills in WORD and EXCEL and the flexibility to work with a variety of lawyers and other legal assistants as a team.
The position will involve responsibilities that include, but are not limited to;
-transcribing documents from dictation
-preparation of legal documents, letters, memos, court documents, etc.
-maintaining electronic and paper filing systems
-effectively communicating with clients, lawyers, and other staff members
-multi-tasking and prioritizing numerous tasks in order to meet deadlines
