Description

Walker Projects Inc. is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their team.  Walker Projects Inc. is a multi-disciplinary Consulting Engineering and Project Management services firm based in Regina. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual seeking a challenging position within a professional services organization.

Reporting to the CFO, the Bookkeeper is responsible for the accounting operations of the company, which includes financial reporting, maintenance of accounting system and records, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll.  

Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly financial statements and complete bank reconciliations.
Provide financial analysis and prepare reports for the management team.
Prepare and pay invoices while ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Post cash receipts and accounts receivable collection activities.
Prepare payroll using ADP.
Ensure proper reporting and compliance with regulatory authorities.
Balance and maintain accurate ledgers.
Coordinate bank deposits and report cash flow on a regular basis to management.
Prepare monthly returns for GST, PST, and corporate taxes.  

Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years experience in accounting and payroll.
Intermediate to advanced skills with use of MS Office and accounting software.  Experience with Sage 300 and/or Deltek would be an asset.
Working knowledge of PST and GST.
Quality focused and detail orientated.
Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work independently.
Ability to analyze data and report to meet the information needs of the company.
Problem solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication and written communication skills.
