Description

The Parts Counter Person is responsible for a variety of clerical duties, which includes providing price quotations, checking inventory for product availability, providing delivery dates to customers and verifying prices. You will receive and process orders by phone, e-mail, fax or in person.  The Parts Counter Person prepares and maintains sales orders, customer lists and purchase orders with receipts.  You make routine decisions according to company policies and guidelines. Previous JCB experience would be considered an asset.

Job Duties
Receive and process orders
Maintain parts inventory levels within acceptable limits.
Check inventory for product availability.
Provide delivery dates to customers and verify prices.
Prepare, package and ship goods via Purolator, UPS, etc. as required.
Prepares and maintains sales orders and purchase orders with receipts.
Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments as required.
Assist with shipping as required.
Sort and distribute incoming shipments.
Problem solve for any cases of missing documents, shipments and deliveries.
Perform quality audits of the condition of shipped goods for both incoming and outgoing items prior to signing off.
Create purchase requisitions.
Assist in budgetary development for the parts department, forecasting parts requirements
Insure parts are entered on customer work orders.
Preparing for and conducting inventory counts at prescribed intervals and resolving any discrepancies.
Ordering and supplying service department with parts.
Ensure that the same high quality level of service provided to outside customers is also provided to internal dealership customers.
Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulations.

Job Requirements
Knowledge of general parts and warehouse procedures
Ability to operate shop equipment ie forklift
Criminal Record check required
