Description

General Sandblasting & Painting Ltd. provides in-house and mobile surface preparation (blasting) and protective coating/ painting for the repair, protection, prevention, and maintenance of our clients assets.  We are proudly Saskatchewan owned and operated and are located in Regina with over 35 years of service to a diverse customer base.  Our clients are leaders in the petrochemical, oil and gas, manufacturing, mining and industrial sectors in Saskatchewan.

We are looking for a full-time Industrial Prepper/Painter with autobody experience to join our team.  Candidates may be required to work at heights, stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in confined spaces.  You will frequently handle, lift, carry, and set up parts and equipment that weigh up to 50 lbs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 2 years experience - industrial and autobody prepping/painting

Good understanding of airless & conventional painting equipment and processes

Competent knowledge of various paint systems and products including specs, mixing, application techniques and properties

Perform daily maintenance on painting equipment

Inspect final product, ensuring high quality finish to specifications

Maintain safe working conditions at all times; comply with OHS and company standards & practices/policies

Punctual, reliable, flexible to work varying hours and overtime when required

Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record and ability to travel on occasion

Candidates MUST be able to pass a drug and alcohol test

ADDITIONAL QUALITIES

Self-motivated and a team player

Able to lift and position heavy items as required

Able to communicate well - verbal and written

Able to troubleshoot paint equipment if there is a malfunction
