Job Description: The Administrative Assistant (Staff Relations) under the direction of the Manager, Staff Relations, is accountable for providing confidential, accurate and timely administrative, secretarial and clerical support to the Staff Relations Team, inclusive of Workforce Retention and Labour Relations.  This position will be responsible for maintaining and promoting an efficient office environment to members of the Staff Relations Team.
Required Qualifications

Office Education certificate
Business Diploma from a recognized Post Secondary Institution
Experience
At least three (3) years related experience, preferably in the health care setting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Excellent organizational abilities
Ability to prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times
High level of competency
Typing speed of 60 wpm
Knowledge of Human Resource theory and practice
Ability to produce professional documents including letters, brochures, posters and signs utilizing various computer applications
An understanding and commitment to the vision, mission and values of the region
Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office products, Publisher, database software, e-mail and internet
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and high attention to detail
