Facility: Primary Health Care
Job Description: The Registered Dietitian reports to the Regional Manager of Primary Health Care or his/her designate. The Registered Dietitian is responsible for the provision of nutrition assessments, counselling, consultations, teaching, and educational services to community members and employees. The Registered Dietitian is also responsible for assessing the needs of the community and coordinating, planning, implementing, and evaluating nutrition based programs in the community related to health promotion, disease prevention, and disease management.
Required Qualifications

Valid Class 5 driver's license
Accredited Dietetic Internship
Bachelor Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
Registered or eligible for registration with the Dietitians of Canada
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Dietitians Association
Recognized Dysphagia Training
Experience
Experience in the field of community dietetics is an asset.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Organizational skills
Ability to develop, evaluate and modify programming provided to clients
Time management skills
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Ability to conduct client assessments and engage in effective treatment planning
Ability to apply the principles of community development
Computer skills including Microsoft Office word processing and spreadsheets, email and internet
Must be self-motivated and confident in ability to work independently
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of learning & teaching principles and health promotion models & strategies
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills
