CANADIAN ORGANIC Spice & Herb Co. Inc. is looking to hire a full time Production Worker. The Production Worker would be hands on and involved in daily production operations. This would include, filling packages with spices and various other food products, following safety and quality standards, running and cleaning automated packaging equipment, along with other daily tasks. CANADIAN ORGANIC is looking for someone with previous experience ( but is willing to train the right candidate).

Wage based on previous experience.
Responsibilities:
Product Bagging
    Bagging product, spice blends and grinds both manually and using automated equipment.
    Ensuring scales are tared before weighing, then measure to the appropriate weight/bag size
    Making sure every blend and grind goes through the quality assurance process
    Filling out the proper paperwork fully and accurately
    Stocking bagged product in the warehouse and rotating stock as necessary
    Maintaining bagging equipment (scales and sealers)
    Cleaning (scales, tables, sealers, walls and floors)
    Opportunity to learn production techniques for various food products.
Product Blending
    Blending a variety of proprietary spice blends and other food products.
    Following recipe and all instructions correctly and accurately
    Filling out recipes fully and accurately
    Cleaning and sanitization of work area and blend room
    Ingredient/Product inventory management
And an opportunity to learn more!
Qualities:
    Excellent physical health as this position is physically demanding
    Ability to lift 50 lbs.
    Warehouse/ forklift experience an asset but not necessary.
    Problem solving an asset
    Self-motivated and ambitious
    Able to work in a team environment being respectful of others
    Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility considered an asset
    Computer skills, competent in using Microsoft outlook, word, excel considered an asset
