Description

Warman Home Centre LP is seeking an individual to fill our new role of Occupational Health and Safety Manager.  The OHS Manager will be responsible for the management and organization of the Health and Safety function within our group of companies.  The selected individual will be responsible for ensuring organizational compliance with OH&S legislation while maintaining our positive health and safety culture at Warman Home Centre LP.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Position would include the establishment, implementation and ongoing management of our health and safety programs.  Overall management of hazard assessments, standard operating practices and procedures, employee training, inspections, and investigations processes.  Analyzing and reporting on health and safety program results.  Supporting management, supervisors, employees and sub-trades regarding health and safety topics, assisting supervisors and managers bring awareness to OHS issues and assist in a proactive prevention approach.  Work with the OHS Committee to ensure site compliance with all OHS regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS
-OHS Certificate obtained by a recognized educational institute or Health and Safety Administrator certificate (HAS) or National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certificate
-Minimum 3-5 years of combined management experience and residential construction/manufacturing or health and safety work experience
-Capability to educate and provide guidance to Managers, Supervisors, Site Superintendents, Employees and Sub Trades on safety matters while building and maintaining professional relationships
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel
-Demonstrated leadership skills
-Established ability to complete reports and write procedures clearly and accurately
-Proven ability to handle high pressure situations in a professional manner; take an educational approach to providing safety support to operations

Monday-Friday schedule, 8am - 5pm.
