The Inside Sales Associate is responsible for meeting customer needs by listening, understanding and providing solutions.
They are responsible for answering telephone inquiries, processing customer orders, maintaining stock of in store products and general housekeeping of their department.
Competencies must include: Self-motivated and well organized, Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Persistent, ambitious and a strong drive for success with proven sales results. Ability to work independently, take initiative and demonstrate flexibility. An ability to gain the confidence and respect of the customer base and sales personnel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to prioritize and effectively execute tasks in a high-pressure environment to meet deadlines.
Requirements include: High School Diploma. Approximately 3 years relevant experience in a lumber retail environment. A strong knowledge of the lumber and building material industry. A thorough product knowledge in order to communicate and demonstrate technical proficiency. Must have the proven ability to listen, understand and provide a solution to meet customer needs. Experience with computer and web-based systems and ability to become proficient in Point of Sales system and estimating software. Valid drivers license. Flexibility to work most Saturdays.
