Description

Under the direction of the Parks Supervisor, the Crew Lead  Crescent Park provides direction and supervision of staff engaged in the maintenance and care of Crescent Park during the summer months, and maintains outdoors rinks, snow removal of paths, assisting with burials and other general Park related duties as assigned.

This position will perform the following duties:
-    Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance programs specific to Crescent Park
-    Ensure the highest quality and care of the Park
-    Document activities related to the maintenance and care of the Park
-    Ensure timecards, work orders, reports and records of staff and activities are completed
-    Assist in preparing budget information and monitor expenditures
-    Train staff to deliver quality customer service at the Park
-    Operate and maintain all equipment required in the maintenance and operation of parks, sportsgrounds and cemeteries
-    Lead a safety focused culture promoting positive attitudes towards health and safety

The ideal candidate will have at a  minimum:
-    Grade 12 education or equivalent
-    Formal education and/or certification in the field of horticulture, arboriculture or landscaping
-    3 years' experience in Parks maintenance
-    2 years' supervisory experience showing an ability to supervise, organize and direct employees
-    Ability to perform heavy lifting
-    Valid Class 5 driver's license
