Description

THE POSITION:
    Be responsible for the management of the overall Northern Sunset Motel (NSM) operation;
    Facilitate, coordinate, and communicate NSM operations to head office;
    Oversee daily operations, controlling and managing inventory, monitoring costs and revenues while modifying procedures and prices, placing food and beverage orders as required;
    Preparation of cash counts, daily and weekly sales reports, inventory metrics, and monthly reports;
    Responsible for hiring, training, and scheduling of all staff administration, restaurant, and lounge;
    Maintaining quality assurance and customer service for both the restaurant and lounge;
    Managing relationships with food, beverage, equipment, and supply vendors;
    Overseeing and managing an operational assigned budget;
    Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the hospitality industry;
    Reviewing reports, interpreting and analyzing data to formulate a strategic plan and direction for NSM;
    Ability to provide operational efficiencies, but also open to suggestion;
    Other duties as assigned.

    Excellent leadership skills;
    Effective communication skills;
    Good problem-solving and analytical skills;
    Good written and verbal communication skills;
    Must be willing and able to work in a team;
    General understanding of a point of sale system or the ability to learn;
    Proficient with computer applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook);
    General understanding of business functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
    Business degree, diploma, or relevant certification in hospitality management;
    At least 5 years work experience managing an existing restaurant or lounge business;
    Available to work flexible hours including evenings and some weekends;
    Must pass a security clearance;
    Must have a valid drivers license.
