Description

The Commissioning Technician plays a pivotal role in the completion of assembly work for Dot units. The focus of this role is ensuring that all components and equipment have been installed properly and operate as intended as a complete system. This role requires an individual with strong technical skills who can think methodically and maintain an overview of the entire scope of the project.



Essential Functions

Develop and perform all functional testing procedures for mechanical and electronic components installed on each unit
Develop deficiency list and coordinate completion of outstanding items
Review and analyze data and prepare technical reports
Ensure the drivability of Dot platforms and make necessary adjustments to control settings to optimize the propulsion and steering performance
Perform exhaustive test runs of completed machines, proving that all functions work as required
Ensure quality of finished products is in line with company standards
Complete all written documentation required to document process completion


Qualifications

In-depth knowledge and experience with hydraulic systems, electronic systems, GPS controlled machines and/or agriculture equipment
Ability to read and interpret diagrams, technical documents, schematics and manuals
Ability to operate heavy machinery and trucks
Strong organization skills and internal drive to see tasks through to completion
Critical thinker with innovative problem-solving and advanced trouble shooting skills, with the ability to create solutions
Ability to adapt and cope with challenging situations
Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse team of contributors
