Description

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the Maintenance Supervisor supervises and coaches the Maintenance team to ensure safe, efficient execution of the maintenance work and optimal operational effectiveness in line with corporate and site objectives.

The Maintenance Supervisor promotes and maintains a safe working environment through compliance with MLFs Health and Safety Program. This includes Food Safety and Environmental compliance.


A snap shot of some of the exciting things you will lead and do:
-Supervision of the maintenance team
-Ensure the efficient operation of plant equipment and services, involving cost control, safety and product quality
-Analyze current and future opportunities for cost savings
-Involvement with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing projects
-Ensure machinery and equipment is maintained
-Coordinate with suppliers to get the proper feedback and maintain ability standards for the equipment
-Will work with the Planner to prepare a solid, effective plan to execute the job
-Weekly verification of PMs and work orders, and getting it done according to requirements
-Modify the PMs to reduce the downtime of the machines
-Collect and track Maintenance execution KPI's

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
-5 years of experience in a Maintenance supervisory or leadership role applying proven Maintenance best practices in a fast pace industrial environment
-A technical diploma/ticket is required
-Familiar with using a CMMS/EAM system and with applying Standard Operating Procedures in his/her work
-Follows company policies, standards and guidelines as they apply to all activities.
-Strong leadership and communication skills, works well in a team environment, is responsible and is open to change
-Results oriented and quality driven
