Applications are being accepted for a permanent full-time Home Centre Manager for our present Home Centre and to assist with the opening of a new Home Centre/Gas Bar in July 2020.
Responsibilities:
- Developmening Home Centre strategies to optimize market share and savings, and to help achieve the Gateway Co-op's vision and goals.
- Work closely with the General Manager to set consistent buying and selling practices, monitor establish budget and business plan.
- Ensuring the health and safety of all team members.
- Networking in Gateway Co-op's business community creating business opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Must be legally able to work in Canada. Possess a post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree.
- Minimum five (5) years managerial experience (including hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, of employees).
- Will require to provide a criminal record check.
- Must be bondable.
- Strong customer focus, relationship building within the community and a proven understanding of product knowledge is require. Acquired retail, lumber, agricultural and hardware background experience in same or similar retail environment. Bulk petroleum experience will be considered an asset.
- Be eager to work to motivate departmental teams. Be able to effectively lead and empower a multi-faceted division.
- Must possess at minimum a valid Class 5 drivers license and a good driving abstract.
- Excellent communication and strong motivational skills.
