Description

The Battlefords Housing Authority, through contractual agreements, manages a property and program services portfolio on behalf of the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation. The Battlefords Housing Authority provides affordable housing to seniors, families, and others, who could not otherwise access safe, secure shelter within North Battleford and neighboring communities.

The Position:
The Administrative Assistant role plays a vital part in the administration and efficiency of the housing authority, providing both clerical and administrative support. The work involves general administrative tasks which include: preparing correspondence, data entry and maintaining spreadsheets.

What Youll Do:
Greet clients and the general public in person or by phone, answering or referring inquiries as necessary.
Provide general support in the areas of client service, administration and financial services.
Receive rental payments, issue receipts, prepare daily deposits, assist with accounts receivable/payable.
Carry out routine office procedures including scheduling appointments and meetings, filing, maintaining office supplies, processing incoming and outgoing mail.

What Youll Need:
Certificate or Diploma in Office Administration with one year directly related experience or, an equivalent combination of experience and education.
Strong knowledge of office systems and procedures, MS Office Suite and computerized accounting systems.
Excellent organizational skills, ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and handle stressful situations.
