Description

The Little Pine First Nation is seeking an energetic individual to serve as the Director of Operations. The position is full time and the successful candidate will work with leadership on governance and will lead an experienced and skilled team in the development of effective and efficient day-to day programs, in accordance with the vision and strategic plan, to the Citizens of the Little Pine First Nation.  

The Director of Operations will have experience in Administration, with a strong background in Human Resources, and Finance. The Director of Operations will possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy and be able to foster positive relationships within the community, with outside government organizations and funding agencies. The Director of Operations will act an advisor, coach and mentor to administrative staff.

This position will report to Chief and Council.
    Degree in Business Administration or related field with a minimum of 5 years work experience;
    Possess significant knowledge of policy and legislative development;
    Possess strong analytical skills;
    Possess knowledge and working experience of financial management, human resources, and governance procedures;
    Possess a good understanding of First Nation cultures, traditions, roles and responsibilities;
    Possess strong conflict management skills;
    Possess strong effective oral and written communication skills;
    Possess knowledge and work experience with computers, i.e., office software applications
    Possess Valid Drivers License; and
    Must provide a clear Criminal Record.
