Facility: SANDY BAY
Job Description: The Mental Health Therapist is accountable for the provision of clinical assessment and treatment services to child and youth outpatient clientele.
The positions is accountable to the Manager of Mental health and Addictions and is situated in a multi-disciplinary team that includes social workers, nurse and, Addictions Counselors.  The position is based out of Sandy Bay, Saskatchewan with an office located in the local community school.

Qualifications:
- A bachelor degree in a Social Work, Psychology or other health related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience working with clients and families coping with mental health disorders.

Licensing/Registration:
- Eligibility for Professional registration with applicable professional association
- Valid Saskatchewan Driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Counseling skills including listening, communicating and thinking clearly.
- Interpersonal skills to work well with clients and colleagues as a team.
- Assessment an intervention skills both for individual and group therapy modalities-exercise good judgement.
- Knowledge of suicidal risk, risk assessment and intervention.
- Communication skills-speak and write clearly and concisely, listen, demonstrate understanding and keep others informed.
- Knowledge of the Mental health Services and other related legislation (For example HIPPA, Child and Family Services Act, etc).
- Knowledge of substance misuse and concurrent disorders.
- Computer skills.
- Administrative skills to jeep accurate and complete records.
- Ability to advocate for the individual and support a complete health care plan for the client.
- Ability to adapt and participate in system activities aimed at constant quality
