The Water Security Agency (WSA) is a unique organization in Canada - bringing together all of government's core water management responsibilities in one place. We manage the province's water supply, protect water quality, ensure safe drinking water and treatment of wastewater, own and manage 49 dams and related water supply channels, reduce flood and drought damage, protect aquatic habitat and provide information about water.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Environmental Business Systems, an employee in this job will provide data management services to support the delivery of Water Security Agency's (WSA) drinking water and wastewater quality vision and the Ministry of Environments Environmental Protection Branchs goals. Work is undertaken in a team environment collecting, manipulating, managing and reporting on water quality data as it pertains to drinking water, wastewater, surface water and groundwater. As well, this employee will collaborate with Ministry of Environment to fulfill their solid waste and storage facilities data requirements. This employee will be responsible to undertake routine to moderately complex projects or assignments.
The successful candidate will possess a degree in the natural or physical sciences and 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of both.
