The Position:

The successful applicant will join one of our project teams developing, testing, and delivering radio frequency satellite earth stations for applications that include satellite operations, high speed internet, earth observation, and deep space missions. These systems use leading edge components built into high availability architectures with integrated monitoring and control capabilities, and are designed to the exacting requirements of our customers.

SEDs Systems Engineers are involved in all phases of SED projects, including capturing customer requirements, performing system design and analyses, performing verification testing, and installing systems at sites located all over the world.

Requirements:

This position will be of interest to candidates with a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Engineering Physics. A Masters degree is considered an asset. Applicants must have good oral and written communications skills and be willing to travel.

Experience in the following areas is considered an asset:

- Analysis tools such as Matlab
- Scripting tools such as Python
- Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Visio
- Programming languages such as C, C++, or Java
- RF test and measurement equipment

The ability to meet the requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program is mandatory. All employees will be required to apply for and receive a Government Security Clearance.
