Operations Manager

Location: Prince Albert, SK

Duties may include the following:

Financial and Operations Management

Oversee management of several hubs, including the day to day operations, including mapping, sampling, soil sample submission, scouting, seed inspection, and technical support for clients.
Ensure client invoicing is accurate and on time.
Monitor and provide effective guidance on regional expense decisions.
Proficient operation of Farmers Edge data management and zone mapping software (Precision Edge), and other software applications used to deliver service at Farmers Edge.
Review financial records such as profit and loss statements for all hubs within the territory, and adjust strategy to ensure financial goals are met.
Ensure proper implementation of Farmers Edge policies and procedures to all employees are met including expense reports, mileage reporting, vehicle records, time sheets, safety and incident reporting etc.


In conjunction with HR and VP, develop and implement employee recruiting plan for all hubs within the territory.
Responsible for interviewing, evaluation of skills, employment offers, contract creation, hiring, on-boarding including orientations and on the job training.
Responsible to ensure employees across all hubs are given routine performance monitoring, semi-annual appraisals, and yearly performance evaluations.

Education and Experience:

A minimum of a two-year diploma from a recognized agricultural college or bachelor's degree in agriculture or related field.
5+ years of experience in related work with emphasis in operational management.
Previous experience in the agriculture industry preferred.
Valid drivers license with a reasonably clear driving record.
