Description

Reporting to the Facility and Safety Supervisor the Grounds/Exhibit Assistant is responsible for assisting with the maintenance of lawns on the Museum grounds including using and maintaining equipment needed to cut the grass and trim around trees etc. The Grounds/Exhibits Assistant will assist with the maintenance of gardens and flower gardens on the grounds and assist with care of animals on grounds. The successful candidate will assist with the maintenance of exhibit buildings to include scraping wood siding, preparation and painting of siding, windows and doors and provide upkeep of boardwalk, steps and railings in the Village exhibits. Only students continuing full-time post-secondary studies in the fall
semester will be considered.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum one (1) years of post secondary education in a related field of study.
Self motivated and able to work independently.
Willing to work weekends.
Able to work with minimal supervision.
Able to work with tools.
Have excellent written and oral communication skills.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a criminal record check.
