Description

Dasro is looking for a Data Architect for a one-year contract for its client in Regina, Saskatchewan

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
    Ensure Data Architecture's key deliverable (Data Architecture Development) is completed and integrated in this initiative.
    Work includes data discovery, analysis, information flows, guide, document and plan remediation as necessary to get data fit for purpose to improve data quality, data modeling, and others data deliverables as required.


Mandatory Qualifications:
    University Degree in Administration and/or IT/Engineering
    6+ years of cross discipline experience including IT and business
    Demonstrates expert knowledge of data architecture frameworks, methodologies and tools
    Solid experience in managing deployment of technology components in a specific technical discipline: clients, servers, storage, mobility and web platforms, database platforms, security, and networks ideally with a mix of skills that include technical architectures
    Experience with establishing and maintaining artifacts such as: logical and physical data models, standards, patterns etc.

Desired Qualifications:
    Certification and experience with The Open Group Architectural Framework (TOGAF)
    Experience in creating and maintaining technical service models
    Practical based working knowledge of implementing data/information governance based on industry
    Current understanding of the electric utility business direction, with an end-to-end view of business and technology
    Understands the business environment including customers, collaborators, suppliers, business units and products and services
    Practical based working knowledge of data/information governance based on industry standards
    Current understanding of the electric utility business direction, with an end-to-end view of business and technology
