Job Description: The Human Resource Officer (HR Information System), Under the direction of the Director of Staff Services, is accountable for the development, implementation and maintenance of a human resource information system developed in conjunction with existing payroll and human resource information system infrastructure.

This position will be responsible for expanding and improving the current programming to create a robust human resource reporting system that meets the current and future labour relations requirements of the organization (i.e. workforce planning, grievance research, payroll auditing, etc.).

Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree with a major in Computer Sciences or equivalent combination of experience and training will be considered
Experience
Minimum of four (4) years experience in the information technology field, preferably in a health care setting.
Experience in Win 7/2008/2012 and Microsoft Databases (SQL 2008/2012)
Experience in SSRS, Excel, Access Databases and other report writing tools.
Experience in data analysis and data manipulation.
Experience in developing applications for client/server virtualized platforms. (Citrix/VMware).
Experience in programming SQL, XML, ASP.net and transactional based applications an asset.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, consultative manner
Must possess a current driver's licence and/or have access to travel on short notice
An understanding and commitment to the vision, mission and values of the region
Well developed knowledge of current programming pract
