Job Description: The overall function of the Quality Improvement Coordinator is to liaise and consult with LTC homes to design, coordinate, implement and evaluate quality programs. Primary focus is on the implementation and evaluation of the provincially mandated Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI/MDS).
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing or Bachelor Degree in Social Work
Registered or eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing body
Experience
2 YEARS RELATED EXPERIENCE, IDEALLY IN THE LONG TERM CARE FIELD REQUIRED. EXPERIENCE IN STAFF LEADERSHIP, DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Project management skills
Ability to competently use computers and software applications as required by the position
Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
Advanced leadership skills

Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.
