KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bookkeeping including bank account reconciliation, accounts receivable and accounts payable, payroll calculations, WCB, GST reporting, preparation of T4s and other bookkeeping duties.
Preparation of Notice to Reader statements, and Review Engagements, including completion of all working papers, adjusting journal entries, and financial statements.
Complete Personal and Corporate Tax Returns.
Effective communication with clients, government agencies, partners, and staff.
Experience with Property Management, Small business and Non-profits would be great!
QUALIFICATIONS:
3 to 5 years Accounting Technician experience in an accounting practice is preferred.
Bachelor's degree, Business College or Business Administration Diploma with Accounting major is required.
Must have proficiency with accounting software, such as Quickbooks and Profile.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel and Word).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management and organization skills.
Ability to prioritize workload and flexibly manage multiple tasks, and work with limited supervision.
High attention to detail, including strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
Complete flexibility in working hours available.
This position would give you the flexibility of having a base amount of clients but also take on new clients if you would like. We have a growing business and I am looking for someone who would like to partner for this aspect of it.
