Description

EVRAZ Wasco Pipe Protection Corporation (EWPPC) is a joint venture between EVRAZ NA and Wasco Energy.  We supply world class protective coatings on the petroleum and natural gas pipes that EVRAZ NA manufactures here in Regina, SK.  We are currently looking for a Health & Safety Superintendent to join our team.  
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the H&S Superintendent will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, advice, and support for the planning, implementation and compliance of Health & Safety policies and procedures. They will work to protect the health and safety of everyone in the workplace by ensuring that risks are properly controlled, and impacts on the environment are minimised.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  

-    Review the Health & Safety Policy Statements on an annual basis and revise as required, and ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and OHS Act, Regulations and Codes.
-    Devise, develop and monitor effective Risk Assessment management strategies and make recommendations on the implementation of these strategies.
-    Provide, or source, training for management and employees in relation to Health & Safety.
-    Carry out or arrange workplace safety audits and ensure that any remedial recommendations are implemented.
-    Maintain accident statistics, analyse trends, taking remedial action where necessary and prepare all required reporting.
-    Compile all incident investigation materials and coordinate all follow up interviews, actions and corrective measures with the investigation team.
-    Acting Management Co-Chair for OHC Committee.

QUALIFICATIONS
    Strong knowledge of the OHS Act, Regulations and Codes
    Post secondary certification in a Health & Safety related field
    5+ years experience in Health & Safety
    First Aid / AED / CPR Level C
    Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) Designation considered an asset.
