Description

Duties include:
Making feed, which includes ensuring medications, supplements and feed are made to strict standards
Operating and maintaining vehicles and mill equipment, including mixers, augers, extruders and oil press
Operating weigh scale and receiving feed ingredients
Operating a forklift
Keeping mill and surrounding yard clean and tidy
Keep records of inventory, medications used and completed feed is delivered to the correct farms
May also include delivering feed to farms using a tandem truck equipped with air brakes, if the applicant is licensed to operate equipment
Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry 25 kg bags a minimum of 4 high
Have knowledge and understanding of large vehicles, electronics and construction
Able to operate a forklift
Grade 12 Education or equivalent
Basic Computer Skills
Competent with hand and power tools
Be able to work unsupervised
Work well with others
Make efficient use of time
Assets:
Valid 3A or 1A drivers license with clean abstract
Proficient with welding equipment
Understanding of biosecurity practices
