Description

The Manager of Water/Wastewater reports to the General Manager of Infrastructure and Operations and is responsible to direct, co-ordinate, and ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Water Works Department.  This includes the Water Treatment Plant, Water Reservoirs and Pressure Booster Stations, Bulk Water Fill Station, Water Distribution system, Rural Water Distribution system and Pump Houses, Sanitary Collection System, Sanitary Lift Stations and Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Basic Requirements:
    Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, and/or Water Technology
    Class 3 Saskatchewan Operator Certification or ability to certify in one or more of the following: Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Wastewater Treatment, Wastewater Collection.
    Knowledge of the operation of Water and Wastewater Infrastructure including; water treatment, water reservoirs and pressure booster stations, water distribution system, low pressure rural water distribution system, wastewater (sanitary sewer) collection system, wastewater lift stations and wastewater treatment.
    Five (5) years experience directly related to the field including experience in; supervision, financial management, personnel administration, public relations and contract management
    A combination of education and experience may be considered
    Proficient with window-based computer applications
    Effective oral and written communications skills
    Ability to multi-task and work under time sensitive deadlines
    Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Drivers License.
    Willingness to obtain a Criminal Record Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check as we are a Youth Certified Employer
