We are looking for a leader to achieve the long-term strategic goals of the organization and to manage daily activities in a manner that advances SEDAs mission.
Reporting to SEDAs Board, the Executive Director is responsible for:
collaborative leadership that motivates and enables employees, Board
members, and volunteers to deliver on the strategic priorities of SEDA
Creating conditions that provide an opportunity for growth and development and increase
knowledge and skills among staff, volunteers, and program participants
Managing all administrative aspects of the organization and programs to ensure SEDA is
effectively meeting its financial, operational, and strategic goals
Ensuring that SEDAs financial management processes are sound and transparent
Leading SEDAs fundraising efforts
Some evening and weekend hours as well as occasional travel across and beyond the province are required for this role. A job description for the position may be requested via the email address below. Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, most recently in a managerial position. Candidates with a relevant undergraduate degree are preferred. We are also open to those with an equivalent and compelling combination of education and experience. Experience with one or more of the following is an asset:
Debate or public speaking
Education
Online program delivery
Governance or management of non-profit organizations
The salary for this position will be commensurate with the successful candidates experience and qualifications.
