Description

The Director of Facilities & Infrastructure is a management position reporting to the Executive Director of Cowessess First Nation.  This position will collaborate with other Department Directors, primarily with the Director of Housing. This position is responsible for managing the operations of the following programs and service areas: Roads & Infrastructure, Community Buildings, and Water Treatment Plant, Wastewater and Sanitation.  Supervisors in each of these areas report directly to the Director of Facilities and Infrastructure.  The Director will work with the Supervisors and assist with reporting requirements, including financial reports for Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) and other funding entities. They will ensure policies and procedures are implemented in each program area as it relates to maintenance, budget development and reporting.  The Director will be responsible to train Supervisors to submit proposals for funding resources and assist with coordinating the process in response to solicited and unsolicited requests for proposals.  They will provide leadership and direction to Supervisors on efficient operations, training strategies and supervising staff in accordance with established policies and procedures.
