Location: Carry the Kettle Health Clinic
Reporting to the Health Director, The Medical Transportation Clerk/Receptionist will be responsible for opening the clinic daily prior to 8:30 am, providing a variety of clerical, record-keeping, and stenographic, support services by acting as receptionist and health transportation clerk. This position works closely with all Health Center staff. Typical duties of this position include reception duties (answering phones, general inquiries, client service), arranging for medical transportation, health records maintenance, administrative support services such as typing letters, taking minutes etc.; maintaining a resource inventory of medical supplies and processing of all incoming and outgoing mail. In addition to administering the Medical Transportation program by scheduling, cancelling, confirming client appointments, coordinating travel to physician appointments, processes reimbursements, maintains log reports and quarterly mileage reporting and handles approvals for travel.
The successful candidate will have a completed Grade 12 education.
Previous experience working in a receptionist/administrative position.
Experience working with computers, Word and Excel are a must.
Experience in the medical industry is preferred.
