Description

Hipperson Construction is a Regina based General Contractor recently expanding into Manitoba, we are looking for a site superintendent for a project in Portage La Prairie, MB. The position operates on a 10/4 rotation.  

Site Superintendents are responsible for overall on-site construction activities within the established design, budget and scheduling guidelines. This includes planning and scheduling, organizing, directing and controlling activities on the construction site.

Specific Duties Include:
-Organize, direct and control on-site construction management to ensure compliance with the owner's specifications, budget and schedule
-Coordinate and supervise subcontractors on-site to ensure their work is meeting schedule and quality specifications
-Supervise own forces
- Work closely with Project Manager to ensure efficient coordination of schedule and minimize delays
-Represent the company in meetings with clients/representatives
-Complete field admin documentation: time sheets, quantity reports, purchase orders.
-Coordinate manpower, materials delivery and equipment on site
-Work in team environment
-Demonstrate leadership in the adherence to the company safety management program

Skills and Qualifications
-Proven supervisory experience in industrial construction
- Must have experience in all aspects of concrete work
-Proven safety training and awareness
-Journeyperson certification in trade of carpentry is preferred
-Proven leadership qualities & the ability to work in a team environment
-Proficient spoken/written English

Working Conditions  
-Shift work
-Must be physically fit
-Must have a valid drivers license and reliable vehicle
