Description

The Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) is a unique, multi-billion dollar organization based on the fundamental principles of co-operation. It is comprised of a network of approximately 250 autonomous retail co-operatives across Western Canada along with their branch operations, and Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL). FCL is the wholesaling/manufacturing arm of the CRS, which provides the retail co-ops with a range of products and services.

Reporting to the Food Manager, the Student Grocery Clerk is responsible ensuring the grocery section of the Food Store is well-stocked for our guests.  He/she is responsible for providing prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to guests while ordering, receiving, warehousing, stocking and rotating merchandise in the Grocery Department and while keeping safety a top priority.  He/she creates and builds product displays, ensuring proper fronting of products, and handle product damages and credits according to company policy.  He/she maintains a neat, clean and visually appealing sales area and warehouse /receiving area and performs other tasks as required in an efficient manner within company policies.  

Reporting to the Food Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:

1. Provide information, assistance and customer service in a manner that will promote the sale of merchandise in a friendly and courteous way
2. Unpack, check and prepare merchandise for sale (stocking and rotating)
3. Provide home delivery and carry out services for customers
4. Maintain good housekeeping standards in the work area
5. Provide front end customer service as per required

*Please note: There are 4 positions available: 2 will be cashier positions and 2 will be warehouse positions; High School Students only
