Tatanka Najin School is looking for a School Counsellor/Behavior Interventionist. We are a student-centered school where inclusion matters, and the needs of students are at the center of everything. Our school is located approximately 45 minutes North East of Regina, Saskatchewan, in the beautiful QuAppelle Valley.

The successful candidate will;
Develop and support a collaborative, school-wide mental wellness plan that includes professional learning opportunities for teachers and support staff.
Demonstrate compassion and use a variety of effective communication techniques when communicating with students, staff, and parents
Have experience working with issues such as family problems, substance abuse, suicide assessment, grieving, etc.
Be working with children/youth who are exhibiting early signs and symptoms of anxiety, depression, anger, loss, or other emotional or behavioral challenges
Be able to work independently, but keep administration appraised of sensitive situations
Have experience presenting to large and small groups and varied audiences including students, educators, parents and members of the public.
Preference will be given to applicants with a masters degree in counselling, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
