The Living Skies Housing Authority is currently recruiting an Accounts Payable Clerk. This position will be a good fit for those with an office education background and some accounting experience. It is part-time, term, for approximately 12-months to cover a maternity leave. The role will appeal to those who like to crunch numbers, enjoy a challenge, and being part of a team focused on accomplishing goals.
What youll do:
- Complete all aspects of the accounts payable cycle following established procedures (verify vouchers for accuracy and completeness, enter payment information into the accounting systems, process and distribute cheques)
- Verify purchase card statements/receipts for completeness
- Maintain error logs to assist in identifying common areas for improvement
- Communicate with vendors, housing authorities and LSHA to resolve any identified issues or respond to queries

-Above average interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills;
-Time management, capable of meeting deadlines
What youll need:
- Completion of Grade 12 supported by one (1) year of practical experience
- Knowledge of accounts payable is an asset
- Proficient in computerized accounting and MS applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- High level of accuracy and speed in data entry
