Prince Albert Grand Council (PAGC) is actively seeking to recruit casual Advanced Care Paramedics (ACP?s) for Hatchet Lake Denesuline Nation, which is a remote fly-in community. Shifts will range from one week or more, depending on need and availability. Accommodations are provided, included return air fare from either Regina, Saskatoon, Prince Albert, or LaRonge. Renumeration will be a flat daily rate which is negotiable.
Qualifications
1. Valid class 4 driver's license
2. Clean driver?s abstract
3. CMA accredited Pre-Hospital Care Program at the Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP-EMT-P) level.
4. Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at the ACP/EMT-P level
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. Advanced interpersonal and communication skills
2. Ability and willingness to assist with patient care and performing within scope of practice.
3. Self-motivated and self-directed
4. Able to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
5. Strong physical assessment skills
6. Ability to travel to remote fly-in community
Assets
1. Knowledge of Indigenous language and culture
2. Knowledge or awareness of First Nations community health programs and treatment services
3. Basic computer skills
