What youll do:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will lead general accounting activities through the analysis and preparation of financial reports and statements including, but not limited to, the preparation of journal entries, fixed asset sub-ledger, inventory verification, budgeting and GL reconciliations. You will lead general accounting practices including risk management and systems of internal and external control.
You will be responsible for reporting and schedules for internal and external stakeholders
Support the planning, preparation and documentation for the auditing process
Provide assistance and support to the Credit Manager
Who you are:
You have an undergraduate degree in accounting with preference to those possessing a CPA designation.
You have a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience. Retail experience in the areas of finance and audit would be considered an asset
You have knowledge of ethical business practices and associated regulations
Youre highly effective in project management, prioritization, multi-tasking and time management to meet deadlines
You have demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
Youre honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
