Description

PTI Transformers has become the single largest Canadian-owned manufacturer of power transformers and electrical distribution equipment.  We are proud to be a Platinum member of Canada's Best Managed Companies program.

From humble beginnings in 1989 when PTI began operating in a two-car garage, we now operate out of a 100,000 square foot facility in Regina and have manufacturing and warehouse facilities in Winnipeg and Ontario.

Our success is a result of the dedication of our hard-working staff. We encourage employees to excel at what they do, and we are constantly seeking motivated and talented individuals to join our team. Our production facility is clean and well-organized with a focus on teamwork, quality and innovation.  We pride ourselves on being a safe environment, are working towards COR, are signatories of the Health and Safety Leadership Charter and are ISO 9001 certified.

This position is primarily responsible for the procurement of materials required for the manufacturing of transformers. Specific accountabilities include purchasing material for production projects, shop supplies, equipment, plant maintenance parts and package parts; reordering inventory, obtaining vendor quotes, receiving and recording all purchases in SAP Business One system; developing and maintaining reports; analysis of specific inventory purchase patterns and usage levels using statistical methods.

In order to be considered for this position, you MUST be living in Canada and be eligible to work.  A criminal record check is required as part of our recruitment process.

The ideal candidate will have completed post-secondary education in a related field such as a Diploma in Supply Management plus prior procurement experience.
