Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Advisor is responsible for providing HR services to retail team leaders and team members. As an HR Generalist, the incumbent will provide support with talent acquisition, integration/orientation, labor relations, training & development, health & safety, and coaching and support. This position is classified as a Safety Sensitive Position, therefore is subject to pre-employment Alcohol & Substance testing as a condition of employment.
Responsibilities for this position include the following:
1. Facilitate the talent acquisition of non-management/management positions for Pioneer Co-op.
2. Facilitate on-boarding/integration for both team members and team leaders in both new team member situations but also with respect to talent management practices so roles and responsibilities are clearly understood.
3. Assist HR Manager, Supervisors and Managers in situations specific to the Collective Agreement, including interpretation of the Collective Agreement.
4. Support and assist in the recommendation and implementation of Health & Safety policies, Benefits and Compensation, Employee and Family Assistance Program.
5. Coordinate and assist HR Manager in all aspects of training and development identification and action planning.
6. Provide coaching and support to team leaders and team members on all aspects of talent management practices (goal setting, performance coaching, development coaching, etc.).
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or Degree, preference for Human Resources
- Previous human resources and co-op retail experience is preferred.
- CHRP designation is considered an asset.
