SaskExpress requires a Research Archivist for the 2020 Summer season. This is a 15 week Student Summer Works grant position for a young professional within the age range of 15 to 30 .
This is an excellent opportunity for a young professional who is interested in gaining experience working with an established Arts organization. Responsible to the Artistic Director, the Research Archivist will research and update the history of SaskExpress that includes, names of performers, hometowns, venues, music performed in our shows over our history for use in our 40th anniversary show. You will be required to organize audio and video files, as well as gather quotes from alumni for use in promotions and sponsorship packages. Help record statistics from our show. Seeing as this is an online show this summer , it will include digital statistics. You will assist the marketing coordinator with surveys and results to further our audience's experience with SaskExpress. You will also be asked to update the music library costume inventory, alumni association list, and history files. You will be asked to analyze metrics to determine where our audiences and potential future performers are coming from so we can target our supporters and grow in the areas that are least represented. You will be asked to prepare a report at the end of the season that offers suggestions for improvements based on your experience and various other duties as assigned.
You will have the opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals in a performing arts organization that has been offering opportunities to talented young Saskatchewan performers and providing family entertainment to people across the province for 40 years.
