SaskExpress requires a Production Assistant for the 2020 Summer season. This is a 15 week Student Summer Works grant position for a young professional within the age range of 15 to 30 .
Working under the Artistic Director, the production assistant will be responsible for assisting with the planning for the upcoming online show and programming for our 40th Anniversary summer show. You will be required to attend production meetings and engage in the planning process. You will be asked to assist with set design and construction, as well as repair and maintenance of set, sound equipment, props and any rentals needed. You will be required to assist with any set up or tear down of set and props. You will be asked to prepare production schedules for filming and editing days with our production team and cast as well as prepare any working environments for filming or physical distancing. You will also be requested to help with the organization of our storage area for our sound equipment, set, props etc.
You may also be asked to drive a vehicle to pick up or return rentals/purchases for SaskExpress as well as various other duties as assigned.
You will have the opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals in a performing arts organization that has been offering opportunities to talented young Saskatchewan performers and providing family entertainment to people across the province for 40 years.
