Employment with PURPOSE
The Metis Nation  SK has an immediate opening for a HOUSING MANAGER
Position Purpose:
Through the Housing Portfolio, the Housing Manager will have a direct, meaningful and sustainable impact on improving the quality of life for Metis citizens throughout Saskatchewan.
Primary Responsibilities: (sampling)
Reporting to the Director of Housing and providing leadership to the team of Case Managers, the Housing Manager will:

-    Lead and manage departmental staff (as assigned),
-    Provide housing supports to Metis citizens within Saskatchewan and encourage healthy movement through the housing continuum,
-    Lead and administer Canadas Reaching Home/Homelessness strategy program
-    Collaboratively, with the Housing Departments staff, create the blueprints for developing the housing strategies and services,
-    Collaborate in the establishment and practice of performance/achievement data collection protocols and practices,
-    Establish and nurture a network of Saskatchewan-based community organizations which provide services to support the homeless with basic needs such as housing, health, education, life skills, food and transportation,
-    Establish and nurture relationships with commercial and private rental landlords and/or related organizations with the goal of increasing home rental opportunities to those who experience chronic and episodic homelessness,
-    Establish performance metrics relative to the Housing Departments mandate and mission,
-    Evaluate risks and enact risk mitigation processes to ensure the health, safety and well-being of case workers in the field,
-    Develop policies and procedures for homelessness case management practices.
