Job Description: Under the direction of the Senior Psychologist of the Department of Clinical Health Psychology the incumbent will provide psychological services to children from birth to five years of age and their families. The primary roles of the psychologist include assessment and diagnosis, consultation to families, and referrals to other appropriate services. Areas of need addressed will include questions of developmental delay, presence of mental health problems of infancy, toddlerhood, and the preschool years, and questions of normal development. Work will be individual at times, but will also involve joint assessment through interdisciplinary teams and coordination with community service and public agencies towards providing more comprehensive care of children and families. The psychologist will also be expected to travel within Saskatoon and to rural communities to schools, daycares and community health settings to support assessment and consultative services. Additional duties relate to the administration of the department, including, for example, consultation on policy development; education and training of graduate-level students in psychology and medicine; education and consultation with other professionals and community organizations; and consultation or other involvement in research projects regarding quality improvement and program evaluation.
Required Qualifications

A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
CPR certification - level B
Masters in Psychology (Clinical, Educational, or Developmental with a clinical practice component) with a focus on pediatric assessment and intervention.
Graduate level course work and/or practical placements specific to developmental disabilities, pediatric mental heal
