Description

Overview
Responsible for safe and efficient operation of a larger SARCAN depot. Leads a team of 15-30+ staff.
Functions
Supervise all staff, including coaching, scheduling, communications, safety, documentation for employee files, training, conducting performance reviews.
Assists in recruitment.  
Ensures policies and procedures are followed for depot operations ie security, production, cleanliness, supplies, trailer switches, maintenance and repairs.
Ensures excellent customer relations - handling of customer complaints, inquiries and public tours; leads by example.
Ensure day-to-day work is completed accurately.  
Responsible for cleaning and upkeep of the depot and yard. Cleans and maintains equipment. May do authorized small repairs. Is responsible for accurate documentation of maintenance logs.
Reports equipment/building deficiencies, hazards or required repairs.
Ensures depot forms, reports and accounting procedures are accurately completed and within timelines.
Follows and reinforces OH&S policies and procedures.
Ensures cash security using proper cash control and handling procedures.
Performs all tasks within the depot, from counting containers for deposit refund, operating the Point of Sale system, preparing containers for shipping and loading product onto trailers for transport.
Ensures adequate supplies and inventory levels.
Others tasks as required.
Position Requirements
High school diploma or GED and a minimum of five years related experience, most recently in a supervisory role.  Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Knowledge of OH&S regulations
Proficiency using Microsoft Office products.  
Satisfactory criminal record check with vulnerable sector check.
