Description

The Good Spirit School Division invites applications for a temporary part-time Library Technician.  Library Technicians support and assist in the development, organization and maintenance of the library of a school. Library Technicians are valuable members of a team which collaborate to promote student learning, well-being and success.
Assignment and Term: This position is a temporary part-time position of 3 hours per day in accordance with the current Library Technician school calendar.  The assignment will commence August 21, 2020 and be held to June 30, 2021.  The work schedule will be from 8:30 am to 11:30 am with a 15 minute rest break.  

The duties of a Library Technician are to: provide library services to students and staff; operate and maintain the library system to circulate library materials, generate reports and complete inventory checks; catalogue all library resources; organize, maintain and update all materials in the library collection and perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or designate and those listed in Job Description  Library Technician.

The successful candidate will have a Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent along with acute attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility and the ability to work as a team member will be considered assets.

Salary and Benefits: The successful candidate will be paid on a monthly basis at an hourly rate from $17.37 - $22.69 plus applicable vacation pay.
