Elance Steel Fabricating is looking to fill the position of Senior Structural Detailer
Candidates should possess the following requirements:
Experience (min 5 years) as a structural steel detailer in both the commercial and industrial sectors
A thorough comprehension of structural and architectural contract drawings
Familiar with detailing and industry standards
Experience with computer aided detailing software (Tekla is preferred)
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
A dedicated team player with strong communication skills
The ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines (Overtime may be required to
accommodate tight schedules)
The ability to work independently
Good problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
A valid drivers license and vehicle as no public transportation available at this location
Strong oral and written English communication skills
The successful candidates responsibilities will include:
Model, connect and produce assembly, part drawings, and erection drawings for approval
through fabrication.
Examine drawings and specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of data according
to structural and architectural drawings
Working with detailing team as required
Work with Project Manager regarding scope and requirements,
Identify all potential areas of concern and prepare Request for Information (RFIs) as
required.
Help coordinate projects and/or check drawings provided by others
Prepare all necessary lists, documents or files (shop & field bolts, NC files, etc) to the
appropriate department in support of the project
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
