Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Youth Engagement Coordinator is responsible for the overall development, coordination and implementation of appropriate programs for youth as required in keeping with the mission statement and goals of the organization, as well as focusing on key issues and priorities of our community.
Ensure that Battlefords Concern For Youth Inc. provides a safe and caring environment that promotes positive youth development, relationships and mentoring opportunities for youth.
Coordination, implementation, and management of programs for youth 12-19 years of age, including the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programs to ensure needs are being met, development of activity plans, evaluation methods and practice, scheduling of staff, and accessing necessary program supplies and equipment.
With support from the Executive Director, provide and/or obtain supervision, mentoring, training and development of staff in order to maintain delivery of quality programs for youth and achieve expected program outcomes.
Maintain information for the effective operation of programs and reporting requirements, including statistical data, financial information, including budgeting, membership documentation, and report preparation as required.
The Youth Engagement Coordinator may be responsible for other duties as described, requested, or required by the Executive Director.
6 month term ending January 31, 2021, with possibility of extension based on funding
Minimum one year experience in a programming and/or supervisory capacity
Monday-Friday 30-35 hours per week hours will be varied as dependent upon evening programming. Will be discussed before starting.
Current certification in Standard First Aid/CPR-C
Valid class five drivers license
Must provide a Criminal Record Check, with Vulnerable Sector Check, that has been completed within the last 30 days.
