Description

PSI Technologies is a Saskatchewan based engineering and mine services company with offices in Saskatoon and Ontario. PSI is a growing technological company that provides a full suite of engineering, conventional and mechanistic materials testing, advanced numerical modeling, field infrastructure assessment, mining and custom equipment fabrication.

We are currently looking for an experienced and self-motivated full-time Materials Engineer.  This position offers a dynamic variety of office and field work on a wide range of transportation infrastructure and mine services related projects.

This position offers significant opportunity for professional development, advancement leadership, publishing/presenting in technical forums nationally and internationally, etc.

Job responsibilities include:
-Conducting field and laboratory testing of various materials.
-Providing quality control and quality assurance services.
-Preparing technical reports.
-Perform/supervise in-field materials sampling and characterization.
-Operate/supervise drilling operations.
-Preparation of technical documents based on testing and field work completed.
-Correlating, interpreting, and modifying data obtained from field topographical surveys, stratigraphic logs and site investigations.
-Ability to travel to work sites is essential.

The optimal candidate will also have the following qualifications and experience:
-Registered with APEGS as E.I.T. or P.Eng.
-Minimum five (5) years experience working in a field and/or materials engineering role on civil works projects.
-Materials testing experience in a CCIL certified laboratory and personal CCIL certification is required.
-Experience with surveying and AutoCAD Civil 3D is an asset.
-Strong oral and written communication skills.
-Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
-Participate in D&A pre-employment testing.
-Criminal record check needs to be provided.
-Safety training certifications will be an asset.
