Description

The Challenge:
Reporting to the VP Operations and Information Technology the Security Analyst is responsible for promoting a security culture within the organization and ensuring new technologies meet security standards. This position will play a key role in implementing projects related to cybersecurity as well as conducting cybersecurity assessments, creating and updating security policies and procedures, acting as a point of contact and resource for cybersecurity incidents, conducting audits and management of the SIEM. The successful candidate must have a strong awareness of current and developing security threats and strong research skills.

Location:
This position will be based at our Head Office in Saskatoon on a Monday through Friday work week.

Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years experience in Information Systems Security
Minimum 5 years experience in supporting various hardware devices such as firewalls, desktops, servers, etc
Degree or certificate from an approved technical college in a computer-related field such as Information Technology/Computer Science (an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may also be considered)
Certification in one or all of the following would be beneficial: CISSP, CRISC, CISM
Working knowledge of various standards and regulations such as PIPEDA, PCI, etc
Working knowledge of frameworks and controls such as NIST and CIS
Firm commitment to staying informed and abreast of emerging threats and industry trends
Strength in prioritizing and managing your own workload to deliver quality results and meet timelines under guidance of management
Aptitude to recognize and maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive and confidential information
Strong analytical, organizational and time-management skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Friendly enthusiastic self-starter and strong team player
